Mario Kart Wii was rated and reviewed by IGN and they gave it a score of 8.5 which is great but it's no Ocarina of Time. They had some good things to say about this game like how multiplayer is fun "but online play rocks". IGN also went into the fact that the VO (Voice Over) "is pretty annoying sometimes" "DK, we're mostly looking toward your direction. They liked the fact that Mii interaction in the crowd which I personally thought was awesome. The Gameplay was rated good but not great. "They could have added a faster cc class though". Lasting appeal got a 9.0 which is pretty good compared to other games.
So IGN rated this an 8.5 which isn't bad but not great. I would have though it'd get at least a 9.0 but you know things come up. Like I can understand what they're saying about DK's VO. Monkey screams aren't very interesting lol. I totally agree with them about the online play also, any good racing game that can go online has a lot of potential, especially since there is a rating system in Mario Kart wii. Overall I think I would buy this game is I had a wii. Looks fun, I would assume controls are awesome with the steering wheel. But ya never know things may come up that cause problems, I doubt there will be any on this game though.
